Terms of Service

The rules for playing EAT THE RICH and using its website and online features.

Last updated: July 17, 2026

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Beb, Inc. ("Beb," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply when you access or use EAT THE RICH, eattherich.gg, the game's online services, and related features we operate (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. The Services are not directed to children under 13.

You must also comply with the age, account, and other requirements of Steam or any other platform through which you access the game.

3. License and player accounts

Subject to these Terms, Beb grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and play the game for entertainment. You may not use the Services for a commercial purpose unless we give you written permission.

Some features use a Steam account, a guest player profile, or another supported sign-in method. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your credentials and devices secure. Do not sell, rent, share, or misrepresent ownership of an account.

4. Fair play and acceptable conduct

You agree to play fairly and treat other players lawfully. We may investigate conduct and take action to protect players, the game, and its systems.

  • Do not cheat, use unauthorized automation, exploit bugs, manipulate results, or bypass gameplay or security controls.
  • Do not harass, threaten, stalk, dox, defraud, impersonate, or promote hatred or violence against a person or protected group.
  • Do not post unlawful, infringing, sexually explicit, or malicious content, or content that exposes another person's private information.
  • Do not disrupt the Services, probe their security, access non-public systems, interfere with other players, or introduce harmful code.
  • Do not reverse engineer or extract source code except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
  • Do not use player names, chat, sharing, trading, or other features for advertising, spam, unlawful transactions, or off-platform scams.

5. Fiction, satire, and game content

EAT THE RICH is a fictional, satirical game. Its characters, events, dialogue, politics, businesses, and game economy are entertainment, not statements of fact or instructions to harm people or property.

The game may include stylized violence, mature humor, and political or social satire. You are responsible for deciding whether that content is appropriate for you or a player you supervise.

6. Progress, virtual items, and Steam features

Player progress, scores, ranks, achievements, in-game gold, collectibles, pitchforks, and other virtual items are game features. They do not give you ownership of the game or its underlying art, software, characters, or other intellectual property, and Beb does not redeem them for cash.

Certain game items may be held or transferred through Steam features. Those features are also governed by Steam's agreements, rules, availability, and technical limits. We do not guarantee that any item will remain transferable, scarce, available, compatible, or unchanged.

We may balance gameplay, correct errors, change item attributes or availability, reset affected progress, or remove improperly obtained items when reasonably necessary to operate the game, address abuse, or comply with law. We will not intentionally remove paid access rights contrary to applicable consumer law.

7. Purchases and refunds

Purchases made through Steam or another distributor are processed by that platform and are subject to its payment and refund terms. Prices, taxes, supported payment methods, and refund eligibility may vary by platform and location.

Except where required by law or the applicable platform's rules, Beb does not separately promise refunds, credits, or replacement items. Contact the platform that processed the purchase first for billing or refund requests.

8. Player content

Player names, chat messages, profile details, shared run summaries, feedback, and other material you submit are "Player Content." You keep any rights you already have in your Player Content.

You grant Beb a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, moderate, and adapt Player Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Services. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your Player Content.

We may remove or restrict Player Content that violates these Terms or creates risk for players or the Services. Public chat, player names, rankings, and shared game activity may be visible to other people, so do not submit information you want to keep private.

9. Ownership and feedback

The Services, including their software, artwork, audiovisual material, text, characters, logos, and design, are owned by Beb or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 3, no rights are granted to you.

If you send us ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. To report claimed copyright infringement, email us with identification of the work, the material at issue, your contact information, and the statements and signature required by applicable law.

10. Early access, changes, and availability

The game may be offered in early access and may contain bugs, incomplete features, balance changes, interruptions, or lost progress. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features or seasons. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular update schedule, or that every error will be fixed.

We may use reasonable maintenance, security, and anti-abuse measures that temporarily affect access. If we discontinue a paid product, any remedies will be determined by applicable law and the platform through which it was purchased.

11. Suspension and termination

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access; remove Player Content; reset affected results; or revoke improperly obtained virtual items when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, harmed the Services or another person, created legal or security risk, or used the Services fraudulently.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and licenses already needed to operate or document the Services, will survive.

12. Third-party services

The Services may link to or work with Steam, Discord, storefronts, social networks, and other third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices govern your relationship with them. Beb is not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, account decisions, or transactions.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." BEB DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BEB AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR GAME PROGRESS, ARISING FROM THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID BEB FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits, so some of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Disputes, arbitration, and governing law

Before filing a claim, you and Beb agree to try to resolve it informally for 60 days. Send a written notice describing the dispute and requested relief to gm@beb.xyz.

Except for qualifying individual small-claims matters and requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved by final, binding, individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its consumer rules and governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. You and Beb waive a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. An arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could award.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing gm@beb.xyz within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Include your name, the account or Steam identifier you use for the game, and a clear statement that you opt out.

If the arbitration agreement does not apply to a dispute, California law governs without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts in San Francisco County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Services.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to gm@beb.xyz.
